This Earth Day, we’re spotlighting a smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable way to rehabilitate aging infrastructure—without the digging, disruption, or environmental damage.

The BulletLiner® System, distributed in North America  by CPM Pipelines, is an AWWA Class III semi-structural liner with a close-fit design for the trenchless rehabilitation of pressure pipes suitable for water, wastewater, gas, and oil. Its minimally invasive installation requires only two small excavation pits, significantly reducing time, costs, and environmental impact compared to traditional methods.

ECI is proud to be one of only two companies in the U.S. certified to install the BulletLiner® System, working in partnership with CPM Pipelines to bring this innovative solution to clients across multiple industries.​

The Problem with Traditional Repairs

Across the country, aging infrastructure poses a growing risk to the environment. Corrosion, leaks, and material breakdown can lead to groundwater contamination, soil degradation, and dangerous chemical spills. Traditionally, repairing these systems has meant digging them up—bringing major disruption to surrounding ecosystems and communities.​

But there’s a better way.

BulletLiner® System: The Sustainable Fix

The BulletLiner® System is pulled into the host pipe and re-rounded to form a tight-fit liner that works independently or in conjunction with the host pipe. This method eliminates the need for open trenching, reducing environmental disruption and cutting costs significantly. The system provides budget-friendly, permanent rehabilitation at approximately one-third the cost of dig and replace.​

The liner is flexible enough to navigate through multiple bends of up to 45º, and strong enough to handle surge pressures up to two times the operating pressure. This extreme flexibility provides a variety of rehabilitation applications—eliminating costly and impactful dig and replace.​

The BulletLiner® System is NSF 61 certified and suitable for transporting various liquids, including potable water, reclaimed water, and wastewater. It has earned drinking water approvals in numerous countries, making it a globally recognized trenchless rehabilitation solution.​
